The Milwaukee Bucks don't plan on trading their star center anymore

The Milwaukee Bucks have told their star center Brook Lopez that they don’t plan on trading him, per Brian Windhorst . This comes after the team was considering trading him back in June .

Lopez is a good center, and used to be in the top 10. Lopez is a two-time first-team All-Defense player, an All-Star, and a NBA champ with the Bucks. He had career averages of 16 points, five rebounds, one and a half assists, and two blocks per game.

Lopez has been a key player to the Buck’s team chemistry, being the one of the defensive anchors with Giannis Antetokounmpo, and a secondary offensive option along with Khris Middleton to Giannis and Damian Lillard.

Lopez also learned to shoot threes to help expand the floor and give Giannis more room to drive, shooting 35% from beyond the arc.

Dealing Lopez could have worked for the Bucks, since he is an aging star, and has been regressing as of late. However, their past trade to get rid of one of their stars for a superstar didn’t really pan out. The Bucks traded Jrue Holiday for Lillard, and Lillard has not produced like he did in Portland. Holiday however has found success, winning his second title with the Boston Celtics.

Instead of gambling, the Bucks seem to be making the safe bet on Lopez, and are keeping him for the foreseeable future.
