On Thursday, the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission announced their June sports betting figures. Bet365 was announced as the third-best sports betting app in Kentucky in terms of its mobile handle. The England-based company accepted $15.5 million worth of wagers in June. That was only down $100,000 from the $15.6 million they saw in May. BetMGM. Caesars, ESPN Bet, Fanatics Sportsbook, and Circa Sports had a handle of under $10 million. Together, they combined for an 18% hold and $145.7 million in mobile handle. Bet365 was the only sportsbook along with DraftKings and FanDuel to post a seven-figure gross revenue total of $1.2 million. The company had a 7.8% hold and they cleared $1 million in gross winnings in seven of their 10 months with legal business in Kentucky. In June, operators statewide had a 10.5% win rate with $150.3 million in accepted wagers. Additionally, Kentucky has now passed $2 billion in all-time wagering in the first 10 months of business.

To no surprise, DraftKings and FanDuel are at the top of the sports betting market

FanDuel’s 14.1% hold was their lowest in 10 months of existence in the Kentucky sports betting scene. They claimed $6.7 million in gross revenue from $47.3 million in handle. The industry leader has posted a 9.6% hold or higher in seven consecutive months and they cleared a 14% hold in six of the 10 months. While DraftKings did not have the highest handle in June, they did have $55.6 million in accepted wagers. The most of all eight mobile sportsbooks in Kentucky. However, DraftKings missed the third consecutive month without a hold of 10%. They missed out in June by just one-half of a percentage point. DraftKings still had $5.4 million in winnings and they moved past $50 million in year-to-date revenue.

Caesars Sportsbook saw $9.1 million in bets placed in June which was up 15.5% compared to their figures in May. They were the only sportsbook with at least $1 million in handle to have a year-over-year increase. Caesars only had a 4.4% hold which resulted in $438,200 in gross revenue. Fourth for total revenue in Kentucky in June was BetMGM with $776,900. Additionally, their $8.2 million handle was down 34.9% from May.
