NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch is racing for a lot over the final two regular-season outings, beginning with Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Raceway.

The two-time Cup champion needs a win to extend his season-winning streak to 20 and sits well below the playoff cutoff line.

During last Monday’s rain-delayed event at Michigan International Speedway, however, Busch earned a stage win and led 24 laps after pulling off a strategic two-tire pit stop.

Has the Richard Childress Racing pilot shaken his mid-season slump?

Denny Hamlin enters the weekend as the favorite, drawing +1000 odds from BetOnline Sportsbook.

Below, we’ll preview the top storylines heading into Sunday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400, go over the odds, and give our best bets for the 25th race on the 2024 NASCAR schedule.

    Coke Zero Sugar 400 Storylines

    • Austin Dillon on Wednesday lost his appeal. In a hearing before the National Motorsports Appeals Panel, Dillon had his reckless driving penalty upheld for the events leading to his last-lap win at Richmond Raceway. He will retain the win, but was deemed ineligible for the playoffs.
    • Christopher Bell’s hit-or-miss season continued at MIS. Caught up in Kyle Larson’s crash, Bell collected his sixth DNF this season. Otherwise, the No. 20 Toyota pilot has three wins and 13 top-10s.
    • While Corey LaJoie’s machine flipped upside down along Turn 3, Spire Motorsports’ other two entrants, Zane Smith (P7) and Carson Hocevar (P10) earned top-10 finishes for the smaller garage.
