Fanatics Sportsbook is officially open for business at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City

On Sunday, Fanatics hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open their Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Since September 5, the sportsbook has been accepting wagers from The Gallery at Ocean Casino Resort. The star-studded event on Sunday was hosted by rapper and Entrepreneur, Jay-Z. He cut the ribbon at the events that included Fanatics founder Michael Rubin and professional golfer Justin Thomas. He was invited to place the first bet, an $100 wager on the Alabama Crimson Tide to win the 2024 National Championship.

The event included well-known celebrities like Quavo, Jalen Rose, Dez Bryant, and Ryan Clark. Jay-Z is a co-founder of Fanatics Sportsbook and is known for his ties to the gambling industry. Last month, he announced plans to include a sports betting offering at his 40/40 club. This will be part of a pop-up for Fanatics Fest NYC. Additionally, Jay-Z made an official bid earlier this year to open an NYC casino, Caesars Palace Times Square.

What is Fanatics’ VIP experience at The Gallery?

Fanatics Sportsbook is located at The Gallery, a 12,000-square-foot space that features betting windows and gaming. The Gallery is the centerpiece of the casino and is surrounded by 140 feet of LED walls. There is a 100-foot elevated bar and lounge area that can seat up to 60 players. That will include slot machines and tables. Additionally, the casino will have self-service betting terminals in the venue. Customers can also visit the betting windows in The Gallery to place wagers. Fanatics Sportsbook will have legal sports betting on all major sports in the United States. That includes professional and college football, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis, soccer, golf, MMA, boxing and more. Chief business officer Ari Borod had this to say about the new location in Atlantic City.

Including their newest location in Atlantic City, Fanatics now has more than 60 physical store locations worldwide. They range from in-venue locations in stadiums and arenas to their premier destinations like the Gallery at Ocean Casino Resort. While New Jersey has several retail sportsbook locations, Fanatics is looking to make an impact on the market. Fanatics is known for its promotions and its FanCash loyalty scheme. This allows players to exchange their points collected via wagers for sports merchandise.
