Sportscasting.com has analyzed data on the secondary marketplace to determine Caitlin Clark’s effect on ticket prices for the WNBA Playoffs.

Clark’s effect on WNBA attendance has been well-documented with her games drawing 105% more attendance compared to when she’s not on the floor. During the first month of the 2024 WNBA season, games featuring Clark proved to be 241% more expensive than games without her.

While that might seem like a large increase, Clark has had an even bigger effect on postseason ticket prices. The average get-in price for Round 2 is $249, but prices are actually 122% higher for games with Clark on the floor ($363) compared to games without her ($164). If Clark reaches the WNBA Finals, ticket prices will have jumped by an estimated 1253% compared to 2023.

    Key Highlights:

    • If Caitlin Clark & the Indiana Fever reach the WNBA Finals, ticket prices will be over 1250% more expensive than in 2023
    • WNBA Playoff games featuring Clark are 122% more expensive in Round 2 compared to games without her on the floor.
    • Potential Minnesota Lynx vs Indiana Fever matchup is the most expensive Round 2 series to attend with an average get-in price of $470
    • Connecticut Sun fans will have to pay an astounding $7,500 to watch a potential Game 5 of the WNBA Finals at Mohegan Sun Arena

If Caitlin Clark & the Indiana Fever reach the WNBA Finals, ticket prices will be over 1250% more expensive than in 2023

In 2023, WNBA fans could attend all five Finals games for just $264. However, if Clark and the Indiana Fever reach the Finals, prices are set to go through the roof.

On the secondary marketplace, Fever WNBA Finals tickets are selling for an average get-in price of $1,301, including $1,743 to watch Indiana hoist the WNBA trophy in a potential Game 5 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The more likely scenario is that Indiana will face either the NY Liberty or Las Vegas Aces in a potential WNBA Finals matchup. If that’s the case, WNBA Finals ticket prices will rise by 1253% compared to last year, given the league’s 2-2-1 postseason format.

Meanwhile, Connecticut Sun fans will have to pay an astounding $7,500 to watch a potential Game 5 of the WNBA Finals at Mohegan Sun Arena. The get-in price to watch the Sun hoist the WNBA Trophy at home is 330% higher than the next-highest team (Indiana Fever).

Which WNBA Teams Have The Most Expensive Playoff Tickets?

    Round 2 WNBA Finals

    New York Liberty $122 $360

    Minnesota Lynx $470 $1,068

    Phoenix Mercury $287 $619

    Connecticut Sun $264 $2,868

    Indiana Fever $332 $1,301

    Las Vegas Aces $77 $582

    Seattle Storm $192 $518

    Average $249 $1,045

Clark will also feature in the most expensive Round 2 games. Indiana is projected to take on the No. 2 seed Minnesota Lynx in the second round of the WNBA Playoffs. The get-in price for a potential Lynx vs Fever game will cost an average of $470 at the Target Center, including a whopping $734 to watch Clark in a potential series-deciding Game 5.

Unsurprisingly, the Fever ($332) and their other potential Round 2 opponent, the Phoenix Mercury ($287), are next on the list of the most expensive WNBA Round 2 tickets.

In fact, games potentially featuring Clark are 122% more expensive in Round 2 compared to games without her on the floor.
