Acorn Ridge Casino in Plymouth is the new venture of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians

The planned Acorn Ridge casino is the new venture of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians.

“With this new venture, we will be able to positively impact the lives of our citizens, create new jobs and support the Amador County community we have been proud to call home for thousands of years,” said Sara Dutschke, who chairs the Ione Band of Miwok Indians.

The project is expected to create more than 250 jobs.

“For thousands of years, our people have lived on the lands that today make up Amador County and the surrounding area,” the Tribe added on the casino’s website.

Ione Band officials say Acorn Ridge will present its table and slot gaming with a culinary focus, utilizing the region’s locally-sourced food and wine.

“Coming soon! Our soon-to-open casino promises breathtaking views of rolling hills and picturesque vineyards, serving as your gateway to excitement and delight. We’re looking forward to welcoming you through our doors, inviting you to escape the city, unwind with family and friends, and embrace the good luck we wish for everyone,” the welcome statement reads on Acorn Ridge Casino’s website.

Ione Band of Miwok Indians are partnering with Las Vegas-based Warner Gaming on the venture

Additionally, the Ione Band of Miwok Indians are partnering with Las Vegas-based Warner Gaming on the venture. The Plymouth property will be the fourth in its portfolio. Warner also has sites in New Mexico and Washington state.

At the Friday groundbreaking, Warner CEO Bill Warner called the project “a milestone” for the tribe and Amador County.

“Today’s event marked a significant milestone for the Ione Band of Miwok Indians. … [This] allowed us to come together in support of a project we are proud to bring to fruition,” Warner said.

Acorn Ridge Casino also features a dazzling restaurant and bar for casual get-together with friends or for celebrating a special occasion. The indoor/outdoor feature bar is perfect for socializing and relaxation.

Plus, the casino offers a beautifully landscaped outdoor space, designed for entertainment and events. That includes live music performances, prize giveaways, and community gatherings.
