Weekend Forecast: 90s continue with even warmer temperatures looming next week
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Enjoying these dog days of summer yet? If so, the weather center applauds you and if not, brace yourself because the heat is not exiting anytime soon. Not only is it not exiting, but the heat intensifies by the middle of next week with a couple days potentially climbing into the triple digits. Very little change in the forecast Saturday with temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s in central and eastern Nebraska. Mid to upper 90s in western Nebraska are likely once again as well.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have always been known for having a successful walk-on program. That could soon be a thing of the past if a new NCAA rule goes into effect. The current proposal would see football, which currently has a scholarship restriction of 85 players, have a roster limit of 105 players with no limit on scholarships.
