Wonderlove, a new food cart pod and venue, wants to be the Central Eastside’s destination for a block party. Co-owners Michael Morrow and Joel Beaudoin were connected by a mutual friend after they learned the two shared the ambition of opening a food cart pod and venue. In late June, Morrow and Beaudoin realized that ambition and opened the pod, pulling in established food carts like Bake on the Run and Honeycuspe. On its physical footprint, which spans half of a city block, Wonderlove’s multifaceted complex pairs Portland’s food cart culture with live entertainment and art.

20th Kiwanis Cruise In to vroom into Troutdale
Calling all chrome lovers, an annual car show is set to take over Downtown Troutdale. The 20th Kiwanis Annual Cruise In will be the place to be to soak in an incredible amount of cars from all decades. There will be nearly a hundred convertibles, Corvettes, customs and imports, muscle cars, rat rods and roadsters, trucks and motorcycles, and everything in between. The event is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of the Columbia Gorge, and will close down the Historic Columbia River Highway and several side streets in Downtown Troutdale temporarily to showcase all the amazing vehicles. The free event will run from 2-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, followed by a concert from 6-8 p.m. in Mayor’s Square. Dallas Police Investigate Shooting Death of 24-Year-Old Ashton Barnes on Lake Avenue
A young man's life tragically ended earlier this week after a shooting in an apartment on Lake Avenue, as Dallas Police continue their hunt for the perpetrator. Responding to a call on Tuesday, Dallas Police found 24-year-old Ashton Barnes with gunshot wounds at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Lake Avenue.
