Senior Lighthouse Center offers programs for seniors

SPRING CITY — The Senior Lighthouse Center of Spring City recently announced events at its location at 135 Ferguson Drive, Spring City, TN, 37381.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There is a live band and dancing Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., and there is also a live band and dancing on Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.

Food specials are served Thursday and Saturday evenings, beginning at 5 p.m.

“We are a growing, 110-membership senior center,” officials said. “Our activities include Gospel singing groups, a sewing group — now sew lap quilts for wounded vets, line dancing classes, exercises for seniors, Bible study group and various community programs. We have bingo, card games, a pool table and time to just sit around and talk.
