Dalton A. Daughtrey Revives One Force Marketing To Extend the Daughtrey Family Legacy
Dalton Alexander Daughtrey, a Chattanooga TN native and resident has reestablished One Force Marketing, a marketing and advisory consultancy named after a business founded by his late father, Nick Daughtrey that went out of operation in the early 2000’s. Dalton revived One Force in 2024 to offer consulting and advisory services to aspiring entrepreneurs, founders, and executives. His aim is to help them make strategic business decisions that increase their time-value, expand their organizations, and create meaningful impact in the world around them.
American Bicycle Group CEO Peter Hurley Passes Away
Peter Hurley, CEO of the American Bicycle Group (ABG), has died after suffering a heart attack following a morning run on Friday, July 19. He was 67 years old. According to the media report filed by Chattanoogan.com, Hurley had acquired a majority interest in ABG, which he led for 18 years. ABG is the parent company of the Quintana Roo, Litespeed and OBED brands and is based in Chattanooga, TN.
National bail fund returns to Georgia after judge says limits were arbitrary
ATLANTA (AP) — A national nonprofit that aids low-income people behind bars is reopening its Atlanta branch. The decision comes after a judge temporarily blocked part of a Georgia law that restricts organizations from helping people pay bail. Last month, the Bail Project announced it was leaving Georgia because of a new Republican-backed law limiting people and organizations from posting more than three cash bonds in a year unless they meet extensive requirements to become bail bond companies. But a federal judge on July 12 granted a preliminary injunction on that. The judge called the three-bond limit “essentially arbitrary.”

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Bartlett-based company's eclipse glasses are in the final round of the "Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee" 2024 contest. The Tennessee Chamber and Tennessee Manufacturers Association(TMA), partnered with the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services, Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association and Smart Factory Institute Tennessee to launch the contest.

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Historical Commission announced a new grant to help cover the cost of restoring National Register-listed historic properties in the state. Overall, $2 million is available from the Historic Property/Land Acquisition Fund (HPLAF) Grant Program this year. Applications are open now through Aug. 31.
