as if this is actually occurring in Hernando county. These people are delusional. The average age in this town is 55 years old and most people are retired. They should drug test the people doing the protesting, they are probably hopped up on meth.

There are less people applying for these jobs because the government required all bus drivers to pay for and pass a CDL test, pay for a background screening and be fingerprinted. All of this, every year, for a typically low wage job of driving kids, that have a tendency to be kids, and get in fights and misbehave on a bus. The bus driver is very limited in what they can do to correct the behaviors and is trying to drive safely while all of this is going on. Now, mandated vaccination or pay for and pass a weekly Covid test is also a requirement. Are you aware that most bus drivers have to take evening bus runs to ball games and sometimes until 1-2 in the morning if the opposing team is hosting the game…many times on a school night. This means they don’t see their families that night and they are still required to get up and be at their morning bus route the following morning.
