SPRING HOPE — In a succinct meeting on Monday, the Spring Hope Downtown Development Board discussed initiatives proposed in the 2024 North Carolina Action plan in addition to the creation of a social media platform for the group.

With a focus on tidying the community’s appearance, the quorum elected to hold a fall cleanup day on Sept. 14, with a rain date the following Saturday.

A spring cleaning day will be determined at a later time.

Also discussed was the development of a Facebook page for the group, which must be approved by the Board of Commissioners.

The DDB’s next scheduled meeting is slated for July 15 at 6 p.m.
