    Springfield to take part in 4th annual Fredrick Douglass Reading event

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Readers in Springfield will participate in the Frederick Douglass Reading event on Wednesday.

    The Indian Orchard Citizens Council and Mic Public Speaking Program are hosting the 4th Annual Frederick Douglass Reading event.

    This event was made possible by the Mass Humanities and Mass Cultural Council and will feature music, children’s activities, and snacks, and will have youth and community leaders as readers at Loon Pond. Representative Orlando Ramos and Councilor Zaida Govan will be among the readers.

    The reading event is set to run from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Loon Pond.
