The Charles Neville Main Stage in Stearns Square was packed with music lovers enjoying their favorite performers on Friday. Among the diverse performers were Lefever, Malado, and Misty Blues from western Massachusetts and across the globe. It was a celebration of the city’s rich culture and musical history.

“This is awesome. I grew up in Springfield. I was born and raised here, and I love being in Springfield, and I know Frank Manzi. He’s here tonight, and it’s awesome that this will be fantastic,” said Patrick Ireland of Springfield.

“It’s beautiful to see people of all ages and walks of life and just everybody connecting through the music,” added Executive Director of Blues to Green, Kristin Neville.

Neville adds the festival tends to draw in about 7,000 people each year. The two days of music continue Saturday with the Second Line Parade starting at 11:30 AM. For those who are looking to attend, the festival is free.
