    Teen identified in deadly Springfield shooting on Massasoit Street

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The victim of a deadly shooting on Massasoit Street in Springfield Sunday has been identified.

    Police investigating deadly Springfield shooting on Massasoit Street

    On July 14th at around 10:55 p.m. Springfield officers were called to the 100 block area of Massasoit Street for a Shotspotter activation. Upon arrival, officers found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he died due to his injuries.

    The Hampden District Attorney’s Office identified the victim as 19-year-old Damontey Williams of Springfield. No arrests have been made public at this time.
