Senator Markey touring Springfield’s YouthBuild program

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – U.S. Senator Ed Markey will be visiting Springfield on Wednesday.

Markey will be joined by State Senator Adam Gomez, Springfield City Councilors Maria Perez, Melvin Edwards, and Sean Curran to visit the newly renovated education and job training facility for the YouthBuild program located at 4 Birnie Ave in Springfield at 3:45 p.m.

He introduced the YouthBuild for the Future Act at the end of last year. It’s part of a national program that helps connect young people with education and job training opportunities.
