Crash causing delays on I-291 westbound in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A crash on Interstate 291 westbound in Springfield is causing delays during the Friday morning commute.

The crash is near Exit 4 (St. James Avenue). Traffic is reduced to one lane in the area, with backups extending to Exit 5 (Page Boulevard).

There is no immediate word on injuries or vehicles involved in the crash.
