AUDIO: Kalamazoo getting $1 million grant from USDA for tree removal, replanting
KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Kalamazoo already has an aggressive program for planting trees along city streets and a $1-million grant is about to expand that. The money, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, calls for removing 400 hazardous trees over the next four years from disadvantaged neighborhoods, replacing them and planting an additional 175 trees each year.

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI -- Two are competing to become Schoolcraft Township‘s next clerk. Eska Brown and Joanne Wiley, both Republicans, will appear on the Aug. 6 ballot.
