    Springfield benefits from state-funded projects

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — For the third straight year, the City of Springfield will benefit from appropriation support from the State of Missouri.

    According to a press release from the City of Springfield, Springfield will receive $10 million for the Springfield Art Museum expansion and renovation , $3.4 million for the LeCompte Roadway Improvements Phase II , $3.5 million for Hammons Field additional improvements and $1 million for the Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s Family Connects Program .

    There will also be funding support for the I-44 expansion from St. Louis to Joplin along with road and bridge projects within the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.
