    MSHP confirms missing elderly man found safe

    UPDATE 8:05 A.M. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) has confirmed that Dennis Marty has been found and is safe.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield Police are asking for the public’s help to find an endangered missing person.

    According to a release from the Springfield Police Department (SPD), 75-year-old Dennis Marty was last seen around 1 a.m. on July 3 near South Delaware Avenue and East Walnut Lawn Street. He was wearing a dark blue button-up shirt, jean shorts and white Nike shoes.

    Marty was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with Missouri license plate 8MFX92. He is around six feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has grey hair.

    SPD said Marty also suffers from dementia.

    Anyone with information about Marty’s whereabouts should call 911 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
