How much rain has Beryl brought to the Ozarks?

    By Natalie Nunn,

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – While the Ozarks are far from a coast, tropical storm Beryl is making it a soggy Tuesday for much of the area. East of Springfield, some rainfall totals have measured near 5″, with more rain on the way.

The rain will be coming to an end from west to east. Springfield should be done with precipitation around noon, but the rain will linger to our east for a few more hours. Rainfall totals are already higher to our east, and I expect additional amounts to add to the totals.

Radar estimated rainfall totals show impressive amounts in Texas County with over 6.5″ of rain. Areas near the Wright/Laclede county line show over 5.5″.

    • Elk Creek at Route Z (already closed according to MoDot)
    • North Fork River at Highway EE

    • Hunter Creek at Highway FF
