Man drives car into a Springfield strip mall column

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A driver crashed his vehicle into a column at a Springfield strip mall giving one person minor injuries.

According to the Springfield Police Department, a driver confused his brake pedal with his gas pedal and crashed into a column that damaged the exterior of ClearSound Hearing and the Smoke N Puff vape shop at the Town & Country Shopping Center on Kansas Expressway near I-44.

The driver did not have any injuries, however, police said an employee received minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.
