    Missing Springfield man with dementia found

    UPDATE 8:51 A.M. — The Springfield Police Department says a missing man with dementia, Michael Hanson, has been found.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield Police are searching for a man who went missing from the 2000 block of Mount Vernon St. late Tuesday night.

    According to a release from the Springfield Police Department (SPD), 75-year-old Michael Hanson left his residence on foot at around 10:45 p.m. on July 23.

    He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pajama pants and glasses, but no shoes. He is about five feet, six inches tall, weighs around 192 pounds and has gray hair.

    SPD says Hanson is diagnosed with dementia, diabetes and anxiety. He also does not have family in the area.

    Anyone with information regarding Hanson’s whereabouts is asked to call SPD at 417-864-1810.
