Cashew Chickens rally past Hooks 3-2

SPRINGFIELD, Mo– The Springfield Cardinals continued their series with Corpus Christi Thursday night at Hammons Field.

Big leaguer Tommy Edman has rejoined the team as he tries to rehab his wrist.

Edman had a setback last week when he tweeked an ankle.

He’s back on the field and back with the Springfield Cashew Chickens on Thursday.

Edman got a single and double against the Hooks.

Corpus Christi scored first, but Springfield rallied to take a 2-1 lead.

Then J.D. Yeager hit a sixth inning homer, and the Cashew Chickens beat Corpus Christi 3-2.
