SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Police have arrested 34-year-old Isaiah Church for alleged second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges in connection to the deadly shooting at the Wicked Superstore on Kearney Street on Sunday.

Just before 3:30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call about a man being shot in the parking lot of the Wicked Superstore on East Kearney.

Police say the victim, 31-year-old D’Vaunte Tavon Grant, was taken to the hospital by a citizen before police arrived on the scene.

Grant later died at the hospital.

SPD says Church was found at a home on North Lexington. After a short standoff, police say they arrested him without incident.

Church was booked into Greene County Jail and has a $100,000 open court-only bond.

Springfield Police are still investigating the overnight shooting.
