SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield police arrested a woman after they say she robbed a Casey’s convenience store on Friday and stabbed one of the employees.

29-year-old Sierra Davis of Springfield was charged with three felonies, including first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

According to the probable cause statement, police arrived at Casey’s on West Chestnut Expressway shortly after Davis left. A witness said Davis had three to four plastic bags of stolen items while an employee saw her slipping store items into her pockets.

As the employee was standing next to the front doors, police say Davis dropped the plastic bags, pulled out a knife and charged toward the employee. Davis used the knife to cut the employee on her chest and ran out the front doors, according to court documents. The employee’s injuries were not life-threatening.

It is believed the only item Davis got out the front doors with is sunscreen.

Police looked at surveillance footage of the incident, identified Davis, and arrested her.

In an interview with police, Davis admitted to stabbing a Casey’s employee with a knife and using methamphetamine that morning.

Prosecutors say Davis has a criminal history that includes arrests for assault, drug possession and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Davis is being held in the Greene County Jail without bond.
