Willard's Chappell Roan is performing at the VMAs. Here's how to watch from home

Willard's own Chappell Roan is performing live at the VMAs next month. The up-and-coming queer pop musician has also been nominated for two awards, which fans can vote for through the end of August.

The 40th annual MTV Video Music Awards are Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. This year's awards will be held at New York City's UBS Arena. Typically, the VMAs are held on Sept. 10 but this year's ceremony was pushed back a day to avoid sharing airtime with the presidential debate.

The VMAs will of course be available to watch on the MTV channel, but for fans without cable, the ceremony will be available for streaming on Paramount+. More streaming options will become available closer to the event.

What VMAs has Chappell Roan been nominated for?

Roan was nominated for Best New Artist alongside Benson Boone, Gracie Adams, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and Tyla.

She was also nominated for Best PUSH Performance. The PUSH Performance category correlates with MTV's PUSH initiative, which aims to connect music lovers with new artists each month. Roan was recognized as MTV's PUSH artist in March .

This year's PUSH artists eligible for the award include Kaliii, GloRilla, Benson Boone, Coco Jones, Victoria Monét, Jessie Murph, Teddy Swims, Flyana Boss, Laufey, LE SSERAFIM and The Warning.

How do you vote for Chappell Roan in the VMAs?

Several Video Music Awards are distributed based on fan vote counts, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, PUSH Performance of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Hip-Hop, Best R&B, Best Alternative, Best Rock, Best Latin, Best K-Pop, Best Afrobeats and Video for Good. This year's voting opened on Aug. 6 and closes on Friday, Aug. 30.

To vote, visit the MTV VMAs website at mtv.com/vma/vote/ . Fans can vote up to 20 times per day for as many categories as they would like (or just 20 times for one category). To vote, fans must create an MTV account or provide their email address.

In addition to Roan, Camila Cabella, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro and Sabrina Carpenter are performing at this year's ceremony.
