Incumbent Rep. Bob Titus is facing Democratic Party candidate Mark Gray for the District 139 seat in the Nov. 5 election. Missouri's 139th District covers the western portion of Christian County, which includes Nixa, Clever and Billings.

    Rep. Bob Titus, Republican Party

Bob Titus is a Billings resident and current representative for District 139. Titus was previously a small business owner for 30 years and was an insurance agent with American Family Insurance. He and his wife moved to Christian County in 1994 and are parents to 10 children.

He was elected in 2022 and currently serves on committees for financial institutions, insurance policy, ways and means and a special committee on education reform.

If re-elected, he will focus on increasing school choice, defending the right to bear arms, standing up to big tech censorship, passing pro-life policies and fully funding law enforcement, according to his website.

    Mark Gray, Democratic Party

Mark Gray is the Democratic Party challenger. He's lived in Nixa for the last 20 years. According to his website, when it comes to health-related issues, he wants to stand with women for the right to make decisions about their own health care, expand health care access and to propose a prescription drug monitoring program for Missouri to combat the opioid epidemic.

Gray also wants to push for change in puppy mill legislation, to strengthen public schools, to protect the ballot imitative process, to work for policies to support local businesses, to support law enforcement while calling for accountability, to advocate for local control, and to be a "careful steward of your tax dollars in Jefferson City."
