Here are the Springfield area high school football top performers from Week 8 of the 2024 season. Submit your team's statistics to: wwheeler@news-leader.com:

    Dylan Rebura, Nixa

We get it. You might be sick of seeing Rebura's name in here every week. But he scored six touchdowns in a 48-3 Backyard Brawl win over Ozark. You'll forgive us.

    Jax Glendenning, Lebanon

Lebanon's star running back ran for 296 yards and five touchdowns in the Yellowjackets' win over Glendale.

    Smith Quigg, Branson

Quigg added to Branson's dominant ground game by rushing for two touchdowns and about 100 yards in the Pirates' win over Logan-Rogersville.

    Harrison Thompson, Ash Grove

Thompson proved to be a big-time playmaker for the Pirates despite coming up short against Marionville. He caught seven passes for 139 yards and a touchdown in a two-point loss to the No. 1 team in the state.

    Braydon Bellah, Marionville

Bellah changed Marionville's fortunes with a pick-six late in the first half, giving the Comets a lead heading into halftime. The Comets might not have earned their 44th regular season win in a row if he didn't come up with the timely play.

    Izaiah Hull, Republic

Hull rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown in Republic's bounceback win over Neosho.

    Kellen Lair, Fair Grove

Lair ran away from the Forsyth defense four times for touchdowns in a 48-13 win over Forsyth, setting up a Mid-Lakes Conference championship with Strafford next week.

    Brady Carlton, Carthage

Carlton tossed two touchdowns in the Tigers' 14-13 win over Webb City to claim a share of the Central Ozark Conference West title.
