Patricia Bruschetti, 88, of Canajoharie, NY, passed away on July 23, 2024. The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 to 7:00 on Friday, July 26th, 2024, at Houghtaling and Hanley, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. A funeral service will occur on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fort Plain Cemetery.

Her commitment to our organization will significantly enhance the band’s ability to continue bringing music and joy to the city of Johnstown and beyond. Dr. Raneri’s contribution will directly benefit our efforts in promoting music education, organizing community concerts, and maintaining our beloved band. The Johnstown Citizens’ Band was formed in 1908 and is in its 117th year of performing summer concerts on Friday nights. The 35 musicians are from the local area and present six concerts on the Charles Jenner Band Shell, built in memory of their former conductor. Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Maola Local Dairies Awarded $2 Million Sustainability Grant

The project, titled Sustainable Dairy Partnerships and Corporate Investment in the Chesapeake Bay on Maola farms using flexible funding to advance on-farm sustainability. The project will install high-impact agricultural and manure management practices across 500 acres. The grant, which will support family-owned dairy farms in Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, brings an exciting new corporate supporter to dairy sustainability, Starbucks.

4 Hospitalized, Horse Killed in Horse and Buggy Accident in Deerfield
A serious accident involving a Ford Focus and a horse and buggy have left four people hospitalized and a horse dead. Oneida County Sheriff's deputies were first called to the scene of a serious accident just after 7:30 p.m. Monday. The accident occurred on State Route 12 North between the Glass Factory Road entrance ramp and State Route 8 exit, according to Sheriff Rob Maciol.
UPDATED: 2 Still Hospitalized After Car and Buggy Accident in Deerfield; Horse Dies at Scene
7/22; 2:15 p.m.—The Oneida County Sheriff's Office released injury updates for those involved in the car-buggy accident. "Both the operator of the vehicle, Chase Brewer and Rebecca Hershberger, who was controlling the horse and buggy, have been discharged from Wynn Hospital. The two other occupants in the buggy are in stable condition at Upstate University Hospital," the Sheriff's Office stated in a release.
