BROOKFIELD, N.Y. -- New York State Police are investigating a fatal two-car accident that occurred Tuesday just before 4 p.m. on State Route 8 in Brookfield. UTICA — Local nonprofit GreenUtica announced a free community event, the GreenUtica Garden Tour, happening on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To take the tour, which is a driving and walking tour of home gardens in neighborhoods throughout the city of Utica, people can register at the GreenUtica office at 1641 Genesee St. in Utica.
