    Large fight shuts down Clark County fair early

    SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — The Clark County Fair was shut down early on Friday night due to a 75-person brawl that broke out.

    A fight broke out at the county fair around 9 p.m., bringing several law enforcement officers to the scene. Police told 2 NEWS the fair was shut down prematurely due to the brawl.

    The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded quickly and got the situation under control.

    Authorities did not say what led up to the altercation, but at least 75 people were involved. Four people were detained.

    No one was seriously injured in the fight, and Clark County Fair officials are grateful for the quick work of the Sheriff’s Office.

    “I have to applaud the Clark County Sheriff’s Department tremendously,” said Dean Blair, Clark County Fair executive director. “They did exactly what they’re supposed to do. No one was hurt tonight.”

    The Sheriff’s Office will be handling the investigation. Deputies also say that charges are possible for the four individuals arrested.
