A woman and her son are facing charges after investigators say they found her 24-year-old boyfriend's body near train tracks in northern Robertson County about two weeks ago.

The Robertson County Sheriff's Office and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested Celia Ramirez-Hernandez, 48, and Misael Cruz-Hernandez, 34, in connection with the shooting death of Carlos Camaja, of Springfield, according to a press release.

Officers found evidence that led to the arrests while they were searching Ramirez-Hernandez's home, according to authorities, who identified her as Camaja's girlfriend.

Camaja's body was found near the train tracks in the area of North Qualls Road near the Robertson and Montgomery County line on June 11. The location was about five minutes from the Kentucky state line.

Investigators later learned that Camaja was fatally shot at a residence on North Oak Street in Springfield before his body was left near the train tracks, the release said.

Ramirez-Hernandez and Cruz-Hernandez face several charges each, including criminal homicide, criminal simulation and fabricating or tampering with evidence, authorities say.

Both are jailed without bond, the release said, noting that the investigation into the case is continuing.
