Girlfriend and her son charged in man’s death, TN cops say. His roommate is missing too

A 24-year-old was shot dead and dumped by train tracks in Tennessee, leading to the arrest of his 48-year-old girlfriend and her son, deputies said.

Then, the day after he was found dead, his roommate was reported missing, according to law enforcement.

Celia Ramirez-Hernandez and her 34-year-old son, Misael Cruz-Hernandez, face charges of homicide , fabrication/tampering with evidence and criminal simulation, according to a news release from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.

Neither of their attorney records is available in court records.

The body of Carlos Camaja was discovered near train tracks on June 11, according to deputies.

Investigators said he had been shot at a residence in Springfield, then his body was left by the tracks. Evidence that investigators found from search warrants led them to believe his older girlfriend and her adult son were responsible, deputies said.

On June 12, Apolinar Sadierna-Garcia, also known as Polo, was reported missing to the Springfield Police Department. Police and deputies confirmed to McClatchy News that Camaja and Sadierna-Garcia lived at the same address on North Oak Street.

Sadierna-Garcia was last seen June 7 and reported missing five days later, Springfield police said in a news release.

Both investigations are ongoing. Authorities haven’t indicated whether the missing person case is connected with the death investigation.

Springfield is the seat of Robertson County, about a 30-mile drive northeast from downtown Nashville.
