Homer-Happy Braves Defeat Mets 9-2 As Teams Split Series
With the July 30 deadline quickly approaching, the New York Mets (55-50) hoped to regain some momentum after Saturday’s loss to the Atlanta Braves. Unfortunately, they were unable to do so as New York lost their second-straight game and split the series with the Braves. The Mets were defeated 9-2 at Citi Field on Sunday in the series finale.

Mayor Adams’ charter-reform proposals are a bid for cease-fire with City Council
Here’s the quick back story to the Charter-reform proposals that will be on the November city ballot: The City Council tried to grab some power at Mayor Adams’ expense; he cut it off, threatened to cut the council’s power — then backed off in a clear cease-fire offer. Council lefties achieved a “veto-proof” majority in the 2022 elections; that emboldened Speaker Adrienne Adams and ultra-progressive crew to treat Adams like a punching bag: passing the lunatic Count All Stops bill over his veto and so slamming cops with ridiculous amounts of paperwork, then mandating housing vouchers and finally demanding...

What! A NJ Hiking Trail With Frying Pans Hanging From Trees?
If you follow my page then you know that one of my favorite things to do is to go hiking. Hiking is a great sport to keep you healthy and to have less stress on the knees, hips, back, etc. When I was younger I was a runner, but now getting a bit older I find walking is the best way to get the exercise we all need. Finding trails and unique ones is always a fun thing and adds to the experience when out hiking here in the Garden State. This trail we are talking about today is definitely a "unique" trail.
Yankees face MLB trade deadline dilemma that could force them to get creative
If you need yet another reason why the Yankees are going for it, then know that before Sunday night’s game at Fenway Park, Aaron Judge had a 213 OPS-plus and Juan Soto was at 187. That is one player with an OPS 113 percent better than average factoring in league and park and another 87 percent better. If you are curious how often teams have had two players at 180 or higher in the Live Ball Era (since 1920), it is: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig for the 1927, ’28, ’30, ’31 and ’32 Yankees. End of list. The Yankees won the World...
