LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Our conditions for the next several days remain virtually identical, only picking up slightly next work week. Today, like yesterday, we’ll see mostly sunny skies and a range of 90s. Other than a degree or two of variation here and there, highs remain about the same, a trend we’ll see carried into tomorrow and Saturday. Sunday begins a slight warm up that follows into the work week, putting us in the upper 90s and eventually around the 100 mark Tuesday and Wednesday.

HOUSTON (AP) — The number of Texas deaths after Hurricane Beryl came ashore and knocked out power to millions of residents climbed to at least 36 on Thursday as officials confirmed more people who died in homes that were left without air conditioning during sweltering heat.
