Omaha's Riverfront celebrates huge milestone with 3,000,000 visitors since reopening of Gene Leahy Mall in 2022
OMAHA, Neb. — MECA announced that in the two years since the Gene Leahy Mall reopened to the public about 3,000,000 people have visited the Riverfront. Officials said the park attracted about 45,000 people during the Fourth of July weekend, which MECA said was made possible by the live performances and fireworks spectacular.
Portions of three Lincoln trails to undergo repairs

Volleyball Facility Planned for 180th & Maple
Nebraska Elite Volleyball, owners and operators of the Union Bank & Trust Sports Complex in Elkhorn, are planning to build a new facility on the southwest corner of 180th & West Maple Road. The 175,000 sq. ft. facility would have 12 volleyball courts, six basketball courts convertible to 36 pickleball courts, and two indoor sand volleyball courts plus training rooms and meeting rooms.
