Man arraigned in North Goodman Street double homicide after extradition from Puerto Rico
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — The man accused of shooting and killing two men on the city's northside earlier this year faced a judge and the victims' families Monday. 42-year-old Hector Ramos-Diaz of Farmington was arraigned on charges related to the double homicide that took place on North Goodman Street in February, when Wahid Nazario, 49, and Frank Rosario Vazquez, 43, were gunned down following a fight at a bar. Ramos-Diaz was extradited from Puerto Rico following his arrest there last week.
Man pleads guilty in deadly shooting of Rochester youth football coach
A Rochester man on Monday admitted that he fatally shot a father and youth football coach last summer. Brandon Hall, 28, of Rochester on Monday pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, a felony, for the Aug. 20, 2023 shooting death of Alec Rouse, 31, of Rochester, on North Plymouth Avenue, according to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Talk about a heat dome! A huge area of high pressure with extreme heat parked over Rochester during the second week of July 1936. Not one or two but THREE consecutive 100 degree highs remain on record as the three hottest days in Rochester since record keeping began in 1871! Since this extreme heat wave, Rochester has only recorded one other day of 100 in June of 1953.
