St. Clair County Drug Task Force makes multiple arrests, seizes cocaine
Three people were arrested in Port Huron on June 27 after members of the St. Clair County Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1100 block of 9th St. During the execution of the search warrant, members of the DTF located about $1,800 worth of crack cocaine, officials from the Sheriff’s Office said. Along with the illegal controlled substances, members of the DTF also located a large amount of U.S. currency, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale and packaging material.

West Nile virus detected in St. Clair County
West Nile virus has been detected in St. Clair County, according a news release from the health department. The department conducts seasonal surveillance for mosquito-borne diseases and the virus was recently detected during their routine sampling. The department tests pools of mosquitoes collected throughout the county for disease. There have been no reported human cases of West Nile virus at this time.
