    'Blindness demonstration' planned at Saturday event

    The five St. Mary’s County Lions Clubs will be conducting a "blindness demonstration" during the Culture and Cuisine event sponsored by the Lexington Park Business Association in St. Mary’s Square from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 29.     Gospel music festival planned

    Gospel Extravaganza will be held this Sunday, June 30, starting at 3 p.m. outdoors at Willing Helpers Hall, located at 1002 Washington Ave. in La Plata.     Pedal to park set

    Trek Bicycle Waldorf will host a Pedal to the Park from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 28.     'Shorelines' exhibit eroding

    North End Gallery’s Shorelines exhibit continues through June 30. The exhibit, which comprises the works of several artists, focuses on the various coastal areas in the region.     'Wild things' exhibit closing

    Artworks@7th will show its “Where the Wild Things Are” exhibit through June 30. The exhibit’s guest artist is Julie Heath, who creates mixed media collages.     Take the bus to a play

    Accokeek First Church of God is sponsoring a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa. to see the play "Daniel" Friday, July 26.
