St. Peter boys golf travels to SW Christian for Section 2A Team Tournament
The Section 2A boys tennis tournament bracket was announced this week and the St. Peter Saints earned the sixth seed. As a result, the Saints will travel to Southwest Christian H.S. who earned the home court advantage as the third seed. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, and the winner will advance to compete in the semifinals held at the Gustavus Adolphus College’s Swanson Center Monday morning, with matches beginning at 10 a.m.

The St. Peter softball team wrapped up a four-game home stand Thursday and Friday night with nonconference games against the Tri-City United Titans and the Stewartville Tigers. Thursday evening, the St. Peter track and field team made the short trip to Mankato East H.S. to compete in the annual Cougar Relays, a unique event that highlights team depth by combining non-relay events into relay style scoring. Wednesday morning, bowlers from the Southern Minnesota region descended on Mankato’s Wow! Zone to compete for a chance to qualify for the MSHSL State Championship. Paddlefish supports first responders with new brew
Paddlefish Brewing is “beering it forward” with a new custom brew being sold to support law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical services in the five county region. On Saturday, May 4, just in time for International Firefighters Day, the St. Peter brewery partnered with Helping Minnesota Heroes to debut its new Hops ‘n Heroes blonde ale benefitting first responders. The St. Peter area robotics team (Nordic Storm) was part of the Minnesota State High School League’s state championship alliance at this past Saturday’s State Robotics Tournament in Minneapolis.
