Three Minnesota Men Sentenced For Illegally Selling Firearms On Social Media
(KNSI) – A sting operation based in St. Cloud busts three Minnesota men using social media to traffic machine guns. The terms range from just over a year to about eight years in prison. A press release notes that 19-year-old Rafael Carter Wesley, 21-year-old Avont Akira Drayton, and 22-year-old Kyrees Darius Johnson will be subject to supervised release once their sentences have been completed.
Abbott Northwestern named best Twin Cities hospital by U.S. News and World Report
MINNEAPOLIS — Allina Health's Abbott Northwestern Hospital has been named the best in the Twin Cities in a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.The list ranks hospitals based on several specialties. Abbott Northwestern was nationally ranked in rehabilitation — 47th out of 4,855 hospitals. Pine City Discovery Garden Grand Opening
The Pine County Master Gardeners will hold a Grand Opening for the Pine City Discovery Garden on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. This exciting event will include garden tours, refreshments, children’s activities, and an Ask a Master Gardener table. The garden is on old Hwy 61 just south of the Snake River in Pine City. The Master Gardeners planned, designed, and created the garden in honor of Cindy Novy, former Master Gardener and flower shop owner who passed away from COVID in 2020. The goals were to honor Cindy, create an educational garden, and add beauty to the city. Stop by to check it out on July 20 or any day or evening when you pass through downtown Pine City.
