McDonald's France was impacted by the outcome of the men's basketball final at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Team USA defeated hosts France 98-87 on Saturday, thanks to an incredible clutch three-point shooting display from Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

The NBA's all-time three-point leader hit four crucial long-range shots with under three minutes left, turning a tight one-possession game into a double-digit victory.

McDonald's France gave their take on the game by jokingly posting a picture of their classic curry sauce on Instagram.

“For obvious reasons, we are considering removing this sauce,” the company wrote along with a picture of the condiment's package.

The global fast food chain wrote in the caption that they plan to remove the classic curry sauce for at least the next four years, referring to the Olympic cycle.

Stephen Curry Leads Team USA To Gold Medal

Curry led Team USA in scoring with 24 points in the gold medal game, all from three-pointers and shooting 8-of-12 from beyond the arc.

The 36-year-old also added a rebound, five assists, and two steals as he captured his first-ever Olympic gold medal.

One of Curry's memorable plays was a difficult three-pointer over two French defenders with 34.5 seconds left that sealed the game.

"Before every shot you take, you think it's going in. All I saw was the rim. I didn't see who was in front of me. I knew it was kind of a late clock situation, but that one impressed myself," Curry said .

The four-time NBA champion’s international basketball resume is now complete, with the Olympic gold medal filling the final gap in his impressive collection.

The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player had previously helped Team USA win the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey, as well as the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain.
