    By JT Howland,

The NFL Preseason is officially underway which means that opening night of the regular season is just a few weeks away! Ahead of the kickoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, here are power rankings for every team. Are the Chiefs still number one? Which teams are Super Bowl contenders? Who will be in line for the first-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?

    1. Super Bowl Favorites

    #1 - Kansas City Chiefs

The defending Super Bowl champions are as strong as ever entering the 2024 NFL season.

    #2 - San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco has a chip on its shoulder after a disappointing loss in the season finale.

    #3 - Detroit Lions

Detroit had a great offseason and will be a threat in the NFC this season.

    #4 - Baltimore Ravens

After only being a win away from the Super Bowl, the Ravens have a lot to prove in 2024.

    #5 - Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles enter the season with an improved secondary, but can the team avoid another late-season collapse?

    2. Poised To Make Deep Playoff Run

    #6 - Cincinnati Bengals

The return of Joe Burrow will give Cincinnati a chance at a deep playoff run.

    #7 - Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have all the tools to win their first playoff game in over a decade, but will they?

    #8 - Houston Texans

Nobody had a better offseason than the Houston Texans, who have all the firepower to be a dark horse Super Bowl contender.

    #9 - Green Bay Packers

Green Bay might be the youngest team in the league, but the Packers are poised to bring a trophy back to Titletown.

    #10 - Dallas Cowboys

Can America's team finally live up to expectations, or will it be another disappointing season that questions the future of the team's star players?

    3. Playoff Contenders

    #11 - Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have been Super Bowl contenders for years, but will the loss of Stefon Diggs affect the team heavily?

    #12 - Los Angeles Rams

Just two years removed from a Super Bowl victory, the Rams are looking to get one more championship for Matthew Stafford, even without Aaron Donald.

    #13 - Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars started 8-3 and eventually missed the postseason. After giving Trevor Lawerence a massive contract, Jacksonville looks to play winning football all season long.

    #14 - Cleveland Browns

The Browns won 11 games, even with a carousel of quarterbacks in 2023. Their season depends on the availability of DeShaun Watson and possibly Nick Chubb too.

    #15 - Atlanta Falcons

With new quarterback Kirk Cousins in town, along with a new coach, the Falcons have attempted to fix the two biggest problems from last season. Will it pay off or lead to another playoff-less season in the ATL?

    4. On The Outside Looking In

    #16 - New York Jets

The Jets have all the tools to make a deep playoff run besides quarterback. If Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy, the team is destined for new heights.

#17 - Pittsburgh Steelers The Steelers are guaranteed to have a winning record thanks to Mike Tomlin. How far they go afterward remains to be seen, especially with new quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in town.

    #18 - Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis won nine games in 2023 with Gardner Minshew at quarterback. If Anthony Richardson can play a full season and succeed, the Colts could be competing for the AFC South division title.

    #19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It's a big year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who look to go further in the playoffs than last year's finish in the Divisional Round. It will be harder to get there with the new-look Falcons headlining the NFC South.

    #20 - Chicago Bears

Just two years ago, the Chicago Bears were the worst team in football. Da Bears now have an exciting rookie quarterback in Caleb Williams and a very talented roster. This team could make the postseason in 2024.

    5. Middle Of The Pack

#21 - Los Angeles Chargers It was a terrible finish to the season last year when quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a season-ending injury. A new head coach and general manager later and this Chargers team is a lot different than last season--both good and bad.

    #22 - Tennessee Titans

The result of the Titans season will depend on second-year quarterback Will Levis. Will he break out or will Tennessee be looking for a new signal-caller in 2025?

    #23 - Seattle Seahawks

After finishing 9-8 in 2023, the Seahawks are the definition of "Middle of the Pack." Many analysts could see the team being in the playoff chase or regressing altogether.

    #24 - New Orleans Saints

New Orleans also won nine games last season, but it's likely that the team will fall short of that number in 2024 unless head coach Dennis Allen can turn around his career with the Saints.

    #25 - Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas has a talented roster that is just missing an elite quarterback. Although Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell are in a tight quarterback battle, this team could fall short of eight wins no matter who is starting.

    6. First-Overall Pick Contenders

    #26 - Arizona Cardinals

Arizona could be a sneaky playoff contender with the return of Kyler Murray. Until they show anything though, the team will be in the mix for first-overall after back-to-back four-win campaigns.

    #27 - Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings had a big off-season which saw the loss of quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive star Danielle Hunter. The team did make some good moves, but it will still be an adjustment after moving on from Cousins and handing the keys to veteran Sam Darnold or rookie J.J. McCarthy.

    #28 - Denver Broncos

How will the Broncos look after swapping quarterback Russell Wilson for rookie Bo Nix? They are expected to be near the bottom of the league.

    #29 - Washington Commanders

Washington has a bright future with quarterback Jayden Daniels. This is a developmental year, unfortunately, which might leave the Commanders with a top-five pick.

    #30 - New York Giants

Despite having a sneaky-good defense, the Giants offense will hold the team back in 2024. "Can Daniel Jones be a starting quarterback" and "How will the team look without Saquon Barkley" are questions that will be answered this season.

    #31 - New England Patriots

The Patriots have a promising future under Drake Maye, but the team has a lot of work to do in order to be playoff contenders again.

    #32 - Carolina Panthers

The Panthers were the worst team in the league last year and spent a lot of money this offseason to try and fix those issues. Will it pay off though?
