The old generation of NFL players like Marvin Harrison Senior and ED McCaffrey aren't playing anymore. Some of the legend's children are taking the spotlight and even if some can't compare to their predecessors, they are all receiving a lot of hype within the NFL franchise. The NFL also has a new generation of coaches that are going to change the game forever.

Are The New Coaches Going To Walk The Walk?

The year 2024 is the most eventful coaching cycle in the entire history of the NFL. Some former NFL stars started coaching and many of their forerunners either retired or got fired.

Bill Belichick was fired from the New England Patriots by Robert Kraft on January 11, 2024, and the reason why he was let go is still unclear to this day. Jerod Mayo, the former New England Patriots linebacker is their new coach. He's had no experience as a head coach, but he's been an assistant coach on the Patriots for years. Mayo has some big shoes to fill and he will be expected to accomplish the unexpected.

Jon Gruden was terminated from coaching the Raiders after the 2021 season for racist, homophobic, and misogynistic emails. To this day, it's unclear what emails Gruden sent and who received them. Bisacchia was also let go and Josh McDaniels came in and was let go, and now Antonio Pierce is the Raiders coach.

A lot of the older coaches are being fired for unclear reasons and replaced without a second thought. Some of the new coaches have no coaching experience whatsoever and others don't seem to care about their team. The new coaches are going to greatly impact how each team is played in the National Football Association, but will they be better than their predecessors?

The Legends Are Leaving The Game

Some of the greatest NFL players of all time retired early either because of injuries or to pursue other ambitions. The NFL can take a toll on a player's physical health while taking any spare time they might have.

Tom Brady is one of the most legendary football players of all time who retired in early 2023. Brady was unclear whether continuing playing was best because of his strong passion for the sport. He also didn't have time to spend with his wife and kids.

Billy Price retired from the NFL in 2022 because he was concerned about internal bleeding. Price had surgery to remove a saddle clot that was entering his lungs, so he was concerned that playing football could potentially cost him his life.

Tom Brady and Billy Price are only a small handful of legendary players who retired early from the NFL. Every team is losing great football players who have shoes that are going to be difficult for the rookies to fill.

The Next Generation Of Football Players Are Not The Same

The next generation of NFL players are already here and they are quickly receiving the spotlight. The question that NFL fans have is will the new generation of NFL players live up to the predecessors?

Patrick Mahomes, aka Showtime, quickly became famous when he started playing for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017. Patrick's father Pat Mahomes has a strong influence on the clout he was given throughout his career. Despite the passion that Patrick Mahomes has for football, he takes unnecessary risks when he gets upset. On January 2023, Mahomes refused to step out of the game when he had an ankle injury that made it hard for him to walk. Mahomes refused to rest when Andy Ried told him that it was going to be hard to play with an injured leg.

The tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce is famous for winning the 2024 Super Bowl and his relationship with Taylor Swift. Kelce is a loose cannon who has a hard time managing his anger. When Kelce was training with his teammates, he lost control and punched Jack Cochrane in the face. It seems that the more famous Travis Kelce becomes, the less control he has over himself.

The new generation of NFL players have a short temper and are getting career-shattering injuries when they reach their prime. We may soon see more NFL players having a hard time keeping their cool under pressure and are more worried about stats than their teammates.

It seems like players aren't respecting the sanctity of the sport, they don't love the game, just an opinion from a fan who loves the sport still.🏈
