Coming off a thriller last week against Georgia. The Cats played at home for the 4th week in a row against the Ohio Bobcats. They struggled a bit out of the gate offensively, kicking a field goal in the first quarter.

From then on, the whole team rolled. The Cats' running game was out in full force going for 206 as a team. Demie Sumo-Karngbaye had 2 touchdowns on the day leading the way for the cats. Late in the first, Brock Vandergriff found wideout Dane Key who hurdled a defender on the way to being dragged down at the 2-yard line. It was an incredible move by Key to go over the top.

The Kentucky defense dominated once again. They forced two turnovers, including a pick by star corner Maxwell Hairston that was returned for a touchdown. Hairston read the play perfectly going untouched into the endzone. This defense continues to dominate every week holding the Bobcats to 6 points.

The offense had all its tools working as Vandergriff threw for a season-high 237. Dane Key had 7 catches for 145 yards, torching Ohio's defense. The run game scored all the points however totaling 4 total touchdowns on the ground. The offense could have looked crisper however, they did punt more than they probably wanted to.

Next up for the Cats is top 5 Ole Miss. This will be the first road game for Kentucky this year and it couldn't be in a worse place. Unlike the Georgia game, Ole Miss wields an offense that scores at will. For the Cats to have a chance in this game they will have to play the time of possession game. If they can run the ball and lock down Jaxson Dart and his multitude of weapons they could pull off a shocker in Oxford.
