DELHI, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A Stamford man was indicted in Delaware County Court last week for sexually charged crimes against a child.

Delaware County District Attorney Shawn Smith announced that Thomas Mould, 42, was charged with Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree, a Class E Felony; Forcible Touching, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor by the Delaware County Grand Jury on June 27.

Count one of the indictment accuses Mould of Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree. It is alleged that he engaged in oral sexual conduct with a victim less than 17 years of age in the Village of Stamford on June 22.

Count two of the indictment charges Mould with Forcible Touching and alleges that he intentionally and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly touched the sexual or other intimate parts of another person for the purpose of gratifying his own sexual desire.

Count three of the indictment accuses Mould of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mould allegedly knowingly acted in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical mental or moral welfare of a child less than 17 years of age by subjecting her to sexual contact.

Due to Mould’s criminal history, he faces the potential of being sentenced to life in prison if he is convicted and sentenced as a persistent felony offender.
