    Man charged after shooting in Raleigh County

    BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — A Raleigh County man was charged in relation to a shooting in Raleigh County.

    50-year-old Stephen Neal, of Stanaford, was charged on Saturday, June 1, 2024, with Murder, Kidnapping, and Use of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

    One person dead after shooting in Raleigh County

    According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, Neal was charged in relation to the death of Chad Minor, who died in a shooting incident in Stanaford on May 24, 2024. He is in Southern Regional Jail awaiting a bond hearing in the Circuit Court of Raleigh County.

    The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office also stated that all suspects/defendants should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

    The investigation remains in progress, and anyone with information about the case can contact CrimeStoppers or the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
