Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office Reports Drowning at Modesto Reservoir of a 30-Year-Old Modesto Man
July 8, 2024 – Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 6th, 2024, at about 12:21 p.m., a 911 call was received regarding a male in distress in the water at Modesto Reservoir. Modesto Reservoir deputies responded to the area and located him underwater at 12:29 p.m. He was immediately taken to shore, and deputies started CPR. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and continued life-saving measures. He was identified as a 30-year-old male from Modesto. He was transported by ambulance to Doctor’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. From the hospital, he will be transported to Stanislaus County Coroner's Office, where an autopsy will be conducted later in the week to determine the cause of death. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim during this time.
