Traffic Stop Near Warsaw Finds Multiple Drugs, Firearms, Paraphernalia, and Leads to Charges for Multiple Felonies
An early-morning traffic stop in rural Benton County led to a trafficking arrest and the seizure of multiple drugs and firearms. Benton County deputies conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle at approximately 2:05 AM on August 25th in rural Warsaw, near Hwy 7 and Karr’s Park. According to Benton County MO Sheriff’s office, “investigation and computer checks” associated with the traffic stop led to the arrest of Derik Ray Cantrell, age 39, from Independence, MO, for “licensing issues.”
